Merritt Reid

Merritt Reid made his television debut on All My Children  and can be seen in , Fourth Man Out and Wet Behind the Ears, which have won  awards in the Seattle International Film Festival, Soho International Film Festival, and the Las Vegas International Festival, among others. Born in Queens, New York, Merritt is the oldest of nine children and leveraging the colorful experience of growing up in a large family, he brings that multi-faceted dynamic to the screen.

He began his career as an actor studying with Ann Willis Ratray and landing regional theatre roles. He holds a degree from Rutgers College in Physiology and Psychology and in his spare time he writes, plays guitar and writes music. He won the LA Comedy festival for his TV Pilot, "Just the Eleven of Us".

In 2016, Merritt co-founded the production company Last Straw Films. Their inaugural film, Helping Hands, played in over thirty film festivals across the United States including, but not limited to, Boston Film Festival, CATE film festival and The Garden State Film Festival. Most recently Merritt wrapped on a feature film, Dustnuggets, written by Sue Lange, and directed by Andrew Pochan.

Merritt’s career is gaining momentum and he’s excited about what’s to come.
